Colts Notes for September 29

The Colts got back to practice on Thursday, but, with so many injured and such poor play overall this season, you have to wonder if they shouldn’t just rest  up.  Hey guys, see you in Tampa.   Get some sleep.   Hang out with the family.  Stay loose.  Being tight hasn’t worked, after all.

  • Kerry Collins didn’t practice Thursday, so it looks pretty likely that Curtis Painter will start.
  • TE Dallas Clark was talkative, telling reporters that he’s not keen on rotating reps with Brody Eldridge and that he (Clark) prefers catching passes from Curtis Painter than from Kerry Collins.
  • Other Colts who sat out Thursday’s practice included DE Dwight Freeney, OL Ryan Diem, DT Fili Moala, and LB Ernie Sims.
  • Eldridge DID practice, even though he’s battling a bum knee.
  • Showing up for limited participation were G Joe Reitz and S Antoine Bethea.
