Colts Activate Peyton Manning

Adam Schefter reports that the Colts have activated Peyton Manning from the Physically Unable to Perform (PUP) list.     This is at least in a step in the right direction, but don’t get too excited yet.    The move means that the Colts don’t expect Manning to miss the first weeks of the season, but he has yet to take a snap in pre-season practices.    He won’t play against the Bengals this week, but at least he can participate in some team activities.   It’s now a Colts race to see how ready Manning can be for the season opener in Houston against the Texans on September 11.
