Colts Spared in University of Miami Scandal

The Indianapolis Colts have had a few guys on their roster over the years who played college ball at the University of Miami, but none of them have, as of yet, been implicated in the current scandal involving booster Nevin Shapiro.   Former running back Edgerrin James and current superstar wide receiver Reggie Wayne fall outside of the time frame established by Shapiro (2002-2010), having left the U before Shapiro came on the scene.  None of the other guys who have appeared for the Colts were named in Shapiro’s initial list of players whom he “boostered,” but this story is far from over.   For a quick taste of history, here is a list of the Miami players who have also appeared for the Colts, either in Baltimore (or before) or in Indianapolis.
