Camping With the Colts, Day 5
By Editorial Staff
The Colts now have now completed a whole work week of practices, and nearly everyone has been on the field for some real action. Here are some brief notes gathered from the Twittersphere and other online reports:
- Lots of rookie action yesterday.
- Drake Nevis, rookie DL, seemed to walk into the backfield at will.
- Returning and new free agents made their camp debuts a day after the players ratified the CBA.
- LB Tommie Harris made a brief appearance on the field.
- Curtis Painter looking more like Curtis Painter as the days go by.
- Nate Davis struggled in his downs.
- Sixth-round cornberback Chris Rucker ended practice in a walking boot.
- Pat McAfee continued booming long field goals. It’s like batting practice with this guy.
- Jeff Saturday practiced, at least sort of.
- Kavell Conner suffered some sort of hand injury.
And with that, we arrive at the first full weekend of training camp. Today is the Blue v. White “game,” so it’s a great time to head to Anderson, don’t you think?
