First-Round Pick Anthony Castonzo Signs With Colts

The Indianapolis Colts should finally have their full complement of draft picks in training camp within hours.   First-round pick Anthony Castonzo Tweeted this morning that he’s headed to Anderson, and that’s official enough for Colts fans after a rough free-agency period.  Castonzo had been the last holdout among Indy’s draftees, and the reported snag was his desire for a fourth guaranteed year.  We don’t know the terms of his rookie deal, but I really doubt that the Polians gave in to this “demand.”   It’s more likely that Castonzo realized his prospects of starting at left tackle improved dramatically when Charlie Johnson signed with the Vikings yesterday, but only if he got to camp and start practicing ASAP.

Welcome aboard, #74, and we hope to see a lot of you for a lot of years.
