Randy Moss Retires
By Editorial Staff
Colts fans, you can forget your dreams of Peyton Manning hitting Randy Moss for the 80-yard touchdown that sends Indy to the Super Bowl over the Patriots (or Jets or Steelers) in late January. ESPN reported this afternoon that Moss has decided to retire rather than look for a new team this season. Moss, 34, has generated his share of controversy over the years, but his enormous talent has shone through on the field, and the prospect of Manning-to-Moss was definitely intriguing. Guess we’ll just have to make due with Painter-to-Wayne instead and hope that the Colts can finally bolster their run defense and figure out how the pieces fit on that new offensive line that we’ve heard so much about.
