Gary Brackett Ready for Colts Camp

Colts linebacker Gary Brackett told CBS Sports that his off-season conditioning was the same this year as it has been for some time.

"For the past three years, I’ve worked with my trainer, Greg Moore. It’s been his job to get me ready for the last three seasons. It’s no different now."

That’s good to hear, because the 31-year-old Brackett is the Colts’ defensive captain, and the team will rely on him heavily again to marshal anundersized, underwhelming group into a unit that can keep Indy in games.  The lack of OTAs this year likely affects seasoned vets like Brackett less than it would rookies trying to learn the system.  At this point in his career, Brackett is probably at least as interested in staying healthy and preserving strength and stamina as he is about skill development.   He is what he is after eight years in the league, and that is an impact player, still vital to the Colts’ success.
