Donald Brown Out for Redskins Game
By Josh Dhani
According to the Associated Press, the Indianapolis Colts will leave out running back Donald Brown, wide receiver Anthony Gonzalez, and cornerback Jacob Lacey out as they take on the Washington Redskins on the road on Sunday night.
All three players were noted as questionable, but downgraded towards out.
Brown will miss his third straight game as he currently has a hamstring injury. His last game was against the Denver Broncos, where he had a disappointing twelve yards on seven carries after having 69 yards on 16 carries the week before in a 38-14 win over the New York Giants. Mike Hart will fill in for him, as he is coming off a solid game versus the Kansas City Chiefs.
Gonzalez hasn’t played since week one and has had a high-ankle sprain. He was limited to practice this week.
Lacey will miss his second straight game due towards a foot injury. The Colts’ secondary is in deep trouble, already without Bob Sanders and Melvin Bullitt. Kavell Conner has also been ruled out.
The Colts have no updates on middle linebacker Gary Brackett, who missed most of this week with a groin injury; and left tackle Charlie Johnson, who was out on Friday’s practice.
