Yeah, that’s about all I have when it comes to Spanish. In fact, throughout three years of junior high/high school Spanish has solely left me with the single greatest phrase in the Spanish language! Should you find yourself lost in Cuidad de Mexico, el Capitale de Mexico, as a matter of fact, wandering the streets without cash or a way to make a living, use this phrase and you’ll grow rich and prosper: Me gusto lavas las platas.
I digress.
Interestingly, I received an email today from some PR guy at ESPN Deportes. I’m not one to cater to those PR types, but this is definitely worth mentioning, especially you football americano fans out there! Here’s bits and pieces of said email:
“ESPN Deportes, the leader in Spanish-language sports entertainment, will be featuring an exclusive Spanish broadcast of the Monday Night Football game between the Indianapolis Colts and the Jacksonville Jaguars. This year marks the second season that Monday Night Football will be broadcast in Spanish via ESPN Deportes.
“The ESPN Deportes broadcast team will include Spanish Emmy nominee Alvaro Martin (play by play) and Super Bowl-winning kicker Raul Allegre (analysis). John Sutcliffe will join the team as a sideline reporter.”
So there it is! Check it out…If you speakah de Espanol then you should check this outstanding Spanish-language broadcast of our beloved Colts as they whomp the Jags on Monday night. Check your local listings, but in the meantime, check out their website here.
