Colts vs. Saints – Week 1

Well, the Colts looked pretty good tonight, especially Joey Addai (left) with some impressive running after that scary injury. The defense might have looked better than the offense…naaaah! But they sure beat the hell out of the Saints’ offense though, no doubt about that. I watched every snap (like most of you) and I didn’t see ONE SINGLE SAINTS SNAP where there weren’t at least three blues on the ball carrier.

If we’re jumping on the media’s bandwagon and their “message” nonsense then I’d say the Colts sent this message tonight against the Saints:
“Rhodes who?”
“Simon who?”
“Harper who?”
“David who?”
“June who?”

Yeah, yeah, so Peyton did have a fantastic game, but I think we should give a TON of credit to our rookies out there. Johnson, Ugoh and Keith were exceptional. And all those other guys who stepped up and filled some gaps…they were outstanding. I feel good about this season, starting off against the (undoubtedly) No. 1 team in the NFC with a 41-10 win.

Oh, and my choice for the Naptown’s Finest inaugural Bitch of the Game Award goes to…(drumroll)…Jason David, CB, Saints. It has nothing to do with him being an ex-Colt (I think we’d agree he was a fan favorite), but he simply got burned tonight on 3 different TD passes. Reggie and Marvin made him look like a rookie…but his saving grace did come on an impressive strip-TD runback on Wayne. Had the game stopped there (Marvin had already scored on him) there’s no way he was Bitch of the Game, but, alas, it didn’t.

GO COLTS!!!
