In the next few days, there will be some big (is that the word or am I making like news reporter and blowing it out of proportion?) changes in the Colts lineup. For one, Irsay has given Corey Simon the boot. If you remember, we picked up Simon at the beginning of last year from the Eagles in the hopes of filling some of those gapingly black hole-like caverns opposing running backs used to dominate us on the ground. He came to the Colts and was instantly put on a non-football injured list, not to mention how he hasn’t even shown up to Terre Haute for training camp. Screw it! He doesn’t (or can’t) play, let’s stop wasting time and find someone else! What are we waiting on?
The Colts also picked up rookie defensive end Noland Burchette from Virginia Tech and free agent wide receiver Aaron Brown. This coming after they passed on rookie wide reciever Michael DePriest and signed Carolina Panthers five-year veteran tight end Mike Seidman (only to throw him on the IR due to a knee injury).
That’s that…keep checking for more updates. The Colts are going through some critical changes to prepare for another SB win. By the first game, you might not recognize quite a few starters. Who knows!!!
