Judge Judy…Where Are Yoooou?!?

We all like Dominic Rhodes, right? He unselfishly backed up one of the best RBs today in Edgerrin James for a few years, and then watched his chances of being the Colts’ feature back get trampled in the wake of newbie Joseph Addai. (That, and he racked up 133 yards and a TD against “da Bears” in the Super Bowl.)

Poor guy. He’s in Oakland now, the team with the worst record last year.

But he is the next celebrity to get off the legal hook. Back in February, Rhodes was doing 81 mph in a 55 mph, and “drunk” – or at least he had been drinking.

He was sentenced to 180 days in jail, but was relieved of 178 days of them and got instant credit for the other two days. Tat-tat…what the -!

But he’s still getting a four-game suspension by the NFL. He’ll miss games against Detroit, Cleveland, Miami and Denver…and it will also give co-RB, Lamont Jordan, a chance to take back his feature back role. Punishment enough, as far as the league goes.

My question: Why in the hell is the NFL doing a better job at disciplining these guys than our flippin’ legal system?
