LaVar Arrington in Motorcycle Accident

Three-time Pro Bowler LaVar Arrington was in a serious motorcycle crash today when he lost control and slammed into a guard rail. The doctors say he’s going to be fine and the injuries are not life-threatening, but still serious enough for closer observation for a while.

Arrington was drafted by the Washington Redskins in 2000, coming off a great season with Penn State. After three seasons making the Pro Bowl, an injury dictated the trade terms to the New York Giants (in which Arrington bought out the remainder of his contract) in 2004 where he was injured again and missed all but six games during the 2006 season.

In February, 2007, the Giants released Arrington.

He’s fun to watch and let’s hope he returns to field healthy and with the fire he used to play with.
