The Indianapolis Colts return to action this week to face the Atlanta Falcons. The Colts will once again be without Andrew Luck as he recovers from a lacerated kidney and torn abdominal. Luck will be listed as week-to-week for the foreseeable future.

But while Luck can’t actively participate in practice, that doesn’t mean that he won’t be involved. Matt Hasselbeck spoke about how important it is to just have Luck involved in the process and how valuable his insight really is.

Rookie receiver Phillip Dorsett is also week-to-week as he recovers from ankle surgery. Dorsett was expected to miss 4-6 weeks after breaking his ankle against the Saints on October 25. He likely won’t be back until December.

Safety Mike Adams was out today with a sore ankle. He was injured during an interception return against the Broncos and is listed as day-to-day.

Linebacker D’Qwell Jackson was also out today with a sore hamstring. Head coach Chuck Pagano said that he expected Jackson to be back at practice on Thursday.

Linebacker Nate Irving was back practicing in a limited role on Wednesday. He’s been battling a knee injury that kept him out of the past two games.

Veterans Robert Mathis and Andre Johnson were both given the day off for rest.

Rookie defensive tackle Henry Anderson was also put on IR last week after tearing his ACL. He was in the mix for defensive rookie of the year honors. Pagano stated that it will be up to Billy Winn, Zach Kerr, and T.Y. McGill to fill in for Anderson.
