The Indianapolis Colts continue into the third day of organized team activities. It is the first chance for the team to truly work in both the free agents and draft picks to the offense and defense.
Today, the practice was open to the media and there were some interesting developments. The Colts still have a number of players recovering from injuries, so some things, like the offensive line, are still incomplete.
One interesting quote came from running back Frank Gore, who spoke about the possibility of running against six or seven players instead of the usual eight or nine. This will be the first time he’s played with a truly talented quarterback (Andre Johnson’s first time too).
Here’s what people were saying about rookie Phillip Dorsett:
Phillip Dorsett is having a day. Have I mentioned he's fast? #Colts

Phillip Dorsett bounced back from an early drop w/ an impressive grab over the middle and a deep ball from Hasselbeck. Nice day for the rook

On the offensive line:
Interchangeable parts all across the @Colts O-line today. Haven't seen a ton of Jack Mewhort today. Joe Reitz at RT and Hugh Thornton at LG.

It's way early, but #colts O-line today: LT Castonzo, LG Thornton, C Harrison, RG Herremans, RT Mewhort. Subject to change, of course.

On injuries:
No surprise with #colts, but no sign of Mathis, Cherilus, Ballard, Irving, Thomas. Also didn't see Vontae Davis.

Pagano: Do not anticipate Robt. Mathis, Gosder Cherilus to participate in any OTA work.

On Johnson and Gore:
Fun to watch Andre Johnson in action for the first time. Consummate professional. Every movement looks natural. #Colts

Chuck Pagano on Frank Gore/Andre Johnson settling in: "Seems like they've been here the past five years."
