Injury Report: Colts’ DT Arthur Jones Returns to Practice

The Indianapolis Colts face the Jacksonville Jaguars this Sunday. Indy will be without a couple key players on offense this week, but could get a boost on defense.

Ahmad Bradshaw was placed on IR for the second season in a row after suffering a fractured fibula against the Patriots. Bradshaw is a very talented player, but he is injury prone and hasn’t played a full season for some time.

Dwayne Allen suffered an ankle injury last Sunday and didn’t practice on Wednesday. He has an outside shot to play against the Jags.

Arthur Jones returned to practice after being out the past two games. Jones suffered a high ankle sprain in Week Two and briefly returned against the Steelers four weeks ago only to re-injure himself.

Jones’ return would help bolster a run defense that surrendered 199 yards to someone who was on the Patriots practice squad a few weeks ago.

Greg Toler was out on Wednesday with a concussion. His status for Sunday remains to be seen.

Trent Richardson missed Wednesday but it was apparently due to illness. Hopefully he

D’Qwell Jackson and Reggie Wayne both had Wednesday off for rest.

Gosder Cherilus was also off for rest but last week showed up on the injury report with a groin injury. Cherilus has not played well this season and it would make sense that he’s been battling an injury all season.

The big news for the Jags is that tight end Marcedes Lewis was activated recently and didn’t show up on the injury report. He hasn’t played since Week Two when he suffered high ankle sprain. His return should help a struggling offense, especially as the prepare to face a Colts team that struggles to cover tight ends.
