With Parris Campbell and Bobby Okereke leaving the Indianapolis Colts for the New York Giants, both players took to social media to say their goodbyes.

As excited as Indianapolis Colts fans are for some new faces to arrive to town via free agency and the 2023 NFL Draft, that doesn't mean it's easy to see other guys who have meant quite a bit to the franchise head elsewhere. This week alone, we've seen just that.

First, linebacker Bobby Okereke agreed to a four-year, $40 million deal with the New York Giants. With the G-Men in serious need of some linebacker help, they put the big-time offer on the table for the standout 'backer and he didn't think twice in accepting. Despite Okereke being fired up to head to East Rutherford, it's still tough for him to say goodbye to the Indy faithful.

Both Bobby Okereke and Parris Campbell shared kind words about the Colts

As you can see from that tweet, Okereke really did cherish his time with the AFC South side. Shortly after Okereke locked things in with the Giants, wide receiver Parris Campbell followed suit, inking a one-year deal with New York.

Campbell dealth with plenty of injuries during the first three years of his career, missing plenty of action. However, he appeared in all 17 games for the Colts in 2022, posting 16 starts. Last campaign, Campbell hauled in 63 receptions for 623 yards and three touchdowns.

Losing both Okereke and Campbell to the NFC East squad is tough to see, but the fact of the matter is that general manager Chris Ballard and new head coach Shane Steichen are re-tooling this squad and looking to build towards the future.

Despite Okereke and Campbell not being part of those plans, plenty of fans in the area are going to miss seeing these two playmakers get the job done for this unit each weekend during the fall. We'll see how both of these youngsters fare with their new teams in '23.
