Excellent Defense

Say what you will about the Chiefs’ poor performance in Week 3, but Indy’s defense was fantastic. It routinely forced Kansas City into mistakes, and Ryan Tannehill is a much easier quarterback to face than Patrick Mahomes.

The Colts lead the NFL in opponent yards per rush, allowing only 2.6 yards per attempt. That strong run defense is critical to stopping Tennessee and gives Indianapolis a huge edge.

Michael Pittman Jr.’s Return Boosts Offense

It’s hard to have a great offense without a great wide receiver, and a healthy Michael Pittman Jr. boosts Indy’s attack in a massive way.

Tennessee got destroyed by Stefon Diggs in Week 2, and now has to contain a similarly-excellent wideout in Pittman. Look for a huge game from the former USC product as Matt Ryan finally looks like himself again.

Jonathan Taylor Eruption

At some point, Jonathan Taylor will erupt like a vicious volcano and melt every defender in his path.

Taylor is still a bonafide star, and don’t forget it took a few games in 2021 before he took off too. Tennessee’s defense is mediocre, so Taylor should have his best chance yet to prove he’s still the NFL’s best running back.
