Colts -4.5 (-108) and Under 46.5 (-110) Parlay: +255
The Colts and Jaguars basically had opposite games. Indianapolis started slowly before scoring 17 fourth-quarter points to secure a tie against Houston, while the Jaguars let an eight-point lead slip away in a loss to Washington.
Despite the disappointing effort overall, Indianapolis is still 9-6 against the spread (ATS) in its last 15 contests. Jacksonville, on the other hand, covered the spread just once in its last nine games.
Jonathan Taylor and Michael Pittman Jr both caught fire late, and I think their strong performances carry over into Week 2. The Jaguars let Carson Wentz throw for four touchdowns for crying out loud so Matt Ryan should have a field day.
The Colts’ defense grew stronger as the game progressed as well. Trevor Lawrence is still experiencing growing pains and shouldn’t scare Indianapolis’ strong defensive front.
