Colts add a talented guard

With Mark Glowinski heading to New York to play with the Giants, the Colts now have a hole at right guard that needs to be filled by a pro.

Chris Reed is still on the market and could sign a deal to remain with Indianapolis in 2022. Reed proved that he was able to fill the starting role in Indy this season and should be a priority for Ballard to re-sign.

However, if Ballard strikes out on getting a deal done, he could add Dr. Laurent Duvernay-Tardif this offseason. He started his career in Kansas City playing with the team from 2014 to 2020.

Duvernay-Tardif took the 2020 season off to go back to Canada and help with the pandemic. Duvernay-Tardif returned and was then traded to the Jets and is now a free agent.

Both of these players would be a solid addition to the Colts O-Line, who still features Quenton Nelson, Ryan Kelly, and Braden Smith.

If Ballard does not sign any new guard to the Colts roster, it is expected that the Colts will likely start Danny Pinter at RG.
