Haason Reddick solidifies the linebacker group

Everyone knows who the best linebacker on the Colts defense is— Darius Leonard. Many even know who Bobby Okereke is, because his play can often be unmatched.

Who is the third linebacker on Indy’s roster, though? This is a position that doesn’t often see playtime because the Colts don’t house a true starting linebacker other than Leonard and Okereke.

Adding Haason Reddick finishes that group of players and would give Indianapolis the most talented linebacker group in the NFL.

Mix this with the J.C. Jackson signing, and the Colts go from being one of the best defensive rosters to being the best defensive roster in the NFL.

Of course, Reddick won’t be coming to Indianapolis on a cheap contract. He’s still young and worth the money. His projected contract is set out to be around five years, $76.8 million. That is worth $15.3 million per year.

If the Colts really want to win a Super Bowl soon, they need to start spending the money to show it. Saving money and getting C-level players won’t get you anywhere but competing for the wildcard.

The AFC is getting tougher and tougher every year. The Colts will need a lights-out defense and the pieces on offense to get in the right position.

Get all of the pieces together now and Indy can insert a quarterback and run for a championship. At least, that’s what the Seattle Seahawks did with Russell Wilson.
