The Denver Broncos have a solid young defense, talented offensive weapons, and a new head coach that was apart of the Green Bay Packers’ success.

Because of these factors, many believe that Denver is the perfect landing spot for back-to-back reigning MVP, Aaron Rodgers. While the connection makes sense, it’s far from a reality.

Rodgers first has to decide if he wants to continue playing football and if he wants to do that in a place other than Green Bay. If that’s the case, the Broncos will join a long line of teams vying for his services.

If Denver is unable to acquire Rodgers, it’s unlikely that they will be passive and run things back with Drew Lock. With the ninth pick in the draft, the Broncos could draft one of the top quarterbacks in this year’s class.

If Denver wants to go the veteran route, Wentz has to be one of the options. While he may not be a fit for the Colts, he still possesses a skillset that can give a young team like the Broncos help.

It wouldn’t be the same as acquiring Aaron Rodgers but Denver would be better with Wentz than they were this season.

If any of these teams are going to acquire Carson Wentz, the Colts must either releases him or officially make him a trade candidate. The NFL world will wait to see if either of those things happen.
