The Dolphins have made some puzzling decisions as far as their offensive scheme is concerned, and their usage of Waddle ranks right up near the top. Waddle was billed as a Tyreek Hill-esque deep threat, but they’ve used him more like Cole Beasley.

Over the last two games, Waddle has recorded 18 catches, but he has just 106 yards and no plays longer than 14 yards. That could change against Indianapolis.

As the Seahawks proved thanks to Tyler Lockett and their arsenal of talented receivers, you can break through Matt Eberflus’ defense if you can split the seam in between his two-hi safties. The Dolphins might let Waddle outrun whoever the Colts try to defend him with.

The Indianapolis Colts must be weary of Jaylen Waddle.

Xavier Rhodes is back and healthy, but he isn’t exactly fleet of foot at this stage of his career. Rock Ya-Sin is in the same boat, and while slot specialist Kenny Moore will draw plenty of attention from Waddle, his poor play so far this season is an advantage No. 17 could take advantage of.

Brissett may not be a perfect quarterback, but he’s got a huge arm and a surprising amount of touch on deep throws. It might pain Colts fans to do this, but expect Waddle to lead the Dolphins in receiving yards because of how his speed can impact the game from a schematic point of view.
