Chris Milton, a special teams player, was brought back on a 1-year extension per Colts.com.

Milton played the gunner position and back up on defense. He helped the Colts by gaining 1 fumble recovery and 7 tackles while playing 15 games. He also added another fumble recovery in the postseason.

The secondary was an issue last year for the Colts as they let Vontae Davis walk away to the Bills, then subsequently, retirement. The defensive roster hasn’t changed since last year that much with Margus Hunt being signed back to a two-year deal, Darius Leonard winning Defensive Rookie of the Year and making All-Pro in his first year, add to that Malik Hooker having a breakout season, Indianapolis’ defense went from 32nd ranked to 10th ranked in the midst of one year – thanks to the tandem of Chris Ballard and Frank Reich.

Currently on the roster as Cornerbacks are Jalen Collins, Kenny Moore, Quincy Wilson, Nate Hairston, Chris Milton, and D.J Killings.

In his Sophmore year, Quincy Wilson had 28 total tackles, 2 passes deflected, and an interception while only playing 13 games.

Kenny Moore, also in his Sophmore Year, had 77 total tackles, 3 interceptions, 11 passes defended and added 1.5 sacks.

The Colts look to improve their defense from last year and make a Super Bowl run this year. As of this writing, Justin Houston is still a Free Agent and the Colts could use a perennial pass-rusher to go along with their DROTY and NFL leading tackler, Darius Leanord.

With $100 million in cap room, the Colts looked poised to have an outstanding free agent season.
