The NFL Combine is one of the biggest events of draft season, and Colts fans have it in their own backyard at Lucas Oil Stadium.
The NFL Combine officially begins today in Indianapolis, and Colts fans should be watching closely as their team holds the number three overall pick.
The workouts begin on March 2nd with the running backs, offensive linemen and special teams players. They continue on March 3rd with the quarterbacks, wide receivers and tight ends. March 4th brings out the defensive linemen and linebackers, and the defensive backs will work out on March 5th.
Here are three things Colts fans should keep an eye on this week beginning with Bradley Chubb.

Bradley Chubb
NC State defensive end Bradley Chubb has been connected with the Colts in most of the mock drafts early this draft season. However, there are questions about Chubb’s explosiveness that could see his draft stock drop.
Chubb has been described as a better run defender than a pass rusher, but a strong workout in front of NFL scouts at the Combine could answer some of those questions about his athleticism and ability to become a dominant pass rusher.
Colts fans should be watching Bradley Chubb’s workouts closely to see if he is worthy of being taken third overall.

Saquon Barkley
Saquon Barkley has the potential to be the headliner of the NFL Combine if he puts up eye-popping numbers during his workout.
Barkley has the speed to post an incredible time in the 40-yard dash, and there’s no reason to believe that he won’t put up great numbers in all of the other workouts.
Barkley will also be able to showcase his abilities as a pass-catcher in Indianapolis, and that’s a part of his game that he excels in.
If Barkley puts on a show in Indianapolis, it would be hard for the Colts offense to pass him up if he’s available with the third overall pick.

Quarterbacks
Colts fans should be rooting for the quarterbacks to look good at the NFL Combine to inspire some of the QB-needy teams to offer the Colts an attractive package to trade up in the draft.
Trading down may be Chris Ballard’s best option in this draft as he continues to rebuild this roster from the Ryan Grigson era.
The quarterbacks are always the main storyline in the NFL, and they will be worth watching this week in Indianapolis.
