Bjoern Werner

Werner had a lot to prove this offseason after being benched in the playoffs earlier this year. He’s gone from right side, pass rush linebacker to left side in a run support role. This actually fits his current skill set much better. The Colts are essentially allowing him to work on his pass rush abilities, while putting him in a position

Last Sunday, he managed to excel in a pass rush capacity from the left side linebacker position. Pro Football Focus gave him a plus 2.8 grade in this area, a tipped pass that was intercepted certainly helped his cause.

This has been a trend with Werner over the past season as his camp and practice efforts haven’t translated to games. Week 1 was a nice start to Werner’s season, but whether or not he can string together good games (and finish plays) remains to be seen.
