The Indianapolis Colts coaching changes continued as the team hired a new wide receivers coach.

As first reported by Sports Illustrated, the Colts have hired Morgan State coach Lee Hull to take charge of a talented wide receiver corps in Indianapolis. Hull just finished his second season as head coach with the Bears with his team going 11-12 over the past two years.

Hull took Morgan State to their first FCS playoff appearance in school history in 2014. Before taking over as head coach, Hull was a wide receiver coach at Maryland from 2008-2013. He worked with future NFL players Torrey Smith and Darrius Heyward-Bey while he was with the Terrapins. Prior to Maryland, Hull was an assistant with Oregon State for five years.

Edward Lee at the Baltimore Sun had more from Hull.

"“That’s what made it difficult because I’m not going to see my vision come to fruition for this football program. But it was an opportunity I could not pass up. Going to the NFLhas always been a dream of mine, and these opportunities only come once in a lifetime.”“It’s very exciting,” Hull said. “T.Y. is an All-Pro. Andre Johnson is there, and he’s been to numerous Pro Bowls. They got Dorsett in the first round last year from Miami, and they’ve got Donte Moncrief who is also a very good football player and a young guy. Three of their top four receivers are young, and they’ve got one veteran guy in Andre Johnson. So it’s exciting because they’ve got a real good receiving corps.”"

Hull is clearly excited about the talent he gets to work with and he should be. The Colts have two young, extremely talented players and a veteran who has a pretty good Hall of Fame case.

Hull will replace Jim Hostler as the wide receiver coach and it remains to be seen what will happen to Hostler. Rumor has it that Hostler will move over to coach the tight ends, but we’ll have more when his fate is determined.
