Colts vs Bears: Preseason Where to Watch

facebooktwitterreddit

The Indianapolis Colts host the Chicago Bears in Week 2 of the preseason. This game won’t count in the battle of I-65, and even if it did Colts fans always have already won (see: Super Bowl XLI).

The Colts are looking to rebound from a lopsided loss against the Eagles last week while the Bears want to build on a win over the Dolphins. Both teams are attempting to integrate new parts into their offenses, but unfortunately for the Bears it looks as if their top two receivers will be out (possibly for a long time).

The Colts will be fielding their full offense this week after Donte Moncrief and T.Y. Hilton were out against the Eagles. There is also a good chance we’ll see Frank Gore take a few snaps against the Bears.

Colts fans can expect a bit more work from the starters this week. You can check out our game preview here. And make sure you know which players to follow by checking this out.

The Colts don’t have too many injuries, but they could test the depth on the roster. Guard Hugh Thornton is listed as week-to-week with a knee injury (that usually means 2-4 weeks for Colts players) and won’t play Saturday. Rookie corner D’Joun Smith suffered a concussion but was back doing some work late this week.

Cornerback Jalil Brown and rookie wide receiver Quan Bray both had days off this week due to sore hamstrings and are a question mark for Saturday night. Hamstring injuries for the Colts generally mean that a player will be out for over a week at the minimum.
