Like the rest of the NFL, the Indianapolis Colts are in the middle of organized team activities. The coaches are already impressed with a number of the players, and were starting to get reports out of the open practices that echo those sentiments.

The most talked about group on the field is easily the wide receivers. The Colts are clearly stocked at the position and the rookie, Phillip Dorsett, has really turned some heads. He isn’t the only rookie impressing though, as safety Clayton Geathers has been on the field more and more.

Here are some of the best stories from around the internet:

Zak Keefer at the IndyStar

talked about just how impressive Dorsett’s speed really is

when you see it in person. Dorsett even managed to burn Vontae Davis for a touchdown in practice. Davis didn’t give up a TD all season long.

While it is tough to gage Dorsett’s speed on film, one thing that stands out is just how effortless he looks when he runs. It doesn’t look like Dorsett hits his top gear in the film I’ve watched yet he still manages to run away from defenders.

Over at Bleacher/Report, they break down what having Dorsett means to the team and just how unfair it is to have him and T.Y. Hilton on the same roster. Matt Bowen remarks that Dorsett possesses “fear of God” speed that keeps defenders up at night before facing him.

Bob Kravitz, of WTHR, talked about all the impressive moments that Dorsett has provided so far during OTAs. Most of it revolves around just how fast Dorsett is and at this point, it is becoming an old story. We know he’s fast, maybe it’s time to hear about route running or how good his hands are.

OLB Trent Cole took over the team Twitter account for a Q&A and the Colts compiled all of answers for easy reading.

Kevin Bowen at Colts.com talks about the leadership that other players and coaches are seeing from Andrew Luck during OTAs. Luck and the offense are hoping to improve on red zone efficiency, third down conversions, and two-minute drills.

It was also interesting that offensive coordinator Pep Hamilton blames himself for Luck’s turnovers, saying that he has to put Luck in a better position to succeed. Luck still has to be more patient and learn when to give up on a play.

Bowen also gave us his notebook of standout plays from Wednesday’s OTA’s.

We’ll keep you up to date on all the news from the Colts OTA’s over the next couple weeks.
